Llano Master Gardeners Board Meeting
Tuesday, February 12, 2008; 9:15 a.m.
Norm and Audrey Millen's Home, Llano
There will be a sign up sheet for volunteers at our next meeting for set up/break down assistance.
We will have a registration table.
Dave is building the Q&A board which will have leaflets available with the information.
Timi is getting the raffle item---a Mexican Vase.
There will be 5 door prizes.
We are possibly too late to get any free trees this year.
Dave will try to list some of our vendors if he can get the articles published in the local press.
Field trip to John C. in Oxford for Apple Thinning, in April. It would be training for the general membership. Maybe we could set up a picnic for the event?
John Kuykendale will speak in April on Pecan Grafting.
By-Laws John will present an updated version at the next board meeting.
Sandy showed us some T Shirts the selection of which, will be presented at the next meeting for sign up.
The MGs silent auction offer at the chamber of commerce was purchased by Mary and Morrison Smith. (garden plot)
State Membership. We will need to be a member this March in order to participate in any contests next year.
Sandy has a list of speakers for the MG training. We need more participants.
Chamber of Commerce membership was considered expensive for any anticipated return at present.
A monthly team project has been suggested. Will bring it up at the next general meeting.
