Regular Monthly Meeting of Llano Master Gardeners

John Kuykendall, presenter
John Kuykendall with the second part of his presentation on the care and maintenance of Pecan trees. Insect identification and spraying times were discussed. He took us off site to demonstrate grafting techniques on a pecan tree.
The minutes were read and accepted.
Training Class
Sandy mentioned that the Traning Classes are set up as a learning environment and at times there are too many distractions, i.e. cell phones and loud conversation during the lectures.
Treasurers report
Dwight gave a presentation of the categories in the budget in their new format,stating that the budget is now in balance. Dwight also tendered a letter of resignation, stating that his two year tenure as treasurer is now completed.
Do You Know Jack?
This months contender is Julia Woodall.
Lisa presented the Bent Shovel Award to Julia Woodall, thanking her for the many things she does for the LMGs.
