If you do not own a nursery or are not a commercial grower, what sort of gardening do you do in January or February? I am gearing up and cleaning out space in the greenhouse to root plants and get things ready for early March and April. As soon as the last frost date passes everyone wants to be out digging and planting but as most of you know it takes 6-12 weeks to get transplants ready. That is what I'm preparing for as we speak.
If you are biding your time until that last frost date, this is a perfect time to stay in and stay warm and get some ideas about what you may want to try this coming year. Are you going to stick with the tried and true or do you want to branch out a little?
Thought I would include a few of my favorite seed catalogs and websites that you may want to request catalogs from to pass the time and get ideas.
